Meet Kitty Kade ☀️

You wondering why my bio now says "Kitty Kade"? Allow me to introduce you to the new pen name I'll be using in my future fiction books. 🖋️

A really good friend of mine helped me choose the name - she's a fellow writer and I've known her since I was a little kid and she's been one of my biggest supporters in my writing career. Absolutely grateful to have such a good friend like her. 💖

Well, anyway, I ultimately chose the name Kitty because my great great grandmother was called Kitty Metz (which I looked up the last name and it's a Jewish name, precisely - a German Jewish surname derived from the Hebrew name of Matthew). How fun is that. 💙

I love history. And so... I am now Kitty Kade, teen mystery author of vintage fiction. I'm currently unpacking all my things as I've just moved to a new house last week and am still settling in, few more things to get as well as unpack. Maybe go through some things... If I can actually part from anything! Little pack rat, me. 😂

Anyhoo, back to the subject of the post... In case you're wondering why I changed my pen name - I did for a few reasons. Here's a few of them. 

1) I want to detach my personal name from my fiction world.

2) I want to start fresh.

3) I want my pen name to stand out yet be easy to say.

4) I want to autograph a short pen name.

Etc.! 🤓

Let the new pen name adventures begin! Ohh and I also have a cute little white wooden pull out table in my lovely sparkling clean kitchen where I can write as I'm baking. Love it! 👩‍🍳
